The T-Shirt Project

“NOT IN HELVETICA”

Jovial expressions or stark statements on accessible surfaces for all – T-shirts and other apparel!

When thinking about how I wanted to move forward with combining some of my biggest loves; Creating things, making people smile, and sharing silly thoughts; I had to think about something we all have, that I can put my thoughts on. *Ah – hah!* … our bodiesl.

Canvases and paper art & frames can be annoying to move around and don’t always match our home aesthetic as time goes. Etc.

But! Almost everyone I know seems to have a box of old T-shirts and memorabilia somewhere, though.

Not everyone has a wall or a computer … but everyone has a body.

So, I started coming up with hand painted T-shirts. No AI. Every item is unique. The longer you keep a cotton T-shirt, the softer it gets!

As I have been painting clothing items, I’ve been peppering them out throughout the community, simply to encourage people to smile and talk. Lost arts.

The name of the project, “Not in Helvetica” came from wanting to provide something unique for people; not in the standard font of marketing (ie. Helvetica).

These have been a lot of fun for me to make and I hope you enjoy the creations so far!
